It’s an exciting time as we in the Music Department commence rehearsals for our various ensembles. The Year 12’s from last year have left us and taken with them their skills, leadership and talent. Of course the current Year 12's rise up to fill the breech and fresh faces arrive who will enthusiastically involve themselves in the music program. I am keen to have many students auditioning for A Cappella after a very successful year in 2015. I thought I might take the opportunity to share one of our performances from last year as below. A Cappella means “unaccompanied singing”, but we took some liberties last year. It struck me that more than half the singers in the group, were also prodigies of Mr Schellhorn's String Department, so why not have the students play violin and sing at the same time?
