Battlefield 1942 Directv Player

Hiya I rebuilt my entire computer and I was able to reinstall everything without a problem. However, I've been trying to reinstall BF1942. At about 42% I get this weird pop up message. The box says Exit Setup and the message is 'Specified component cannot be found in the media. An attempt was made to access a component that does not exist in the named media' It doesn't tell me what component it's trying to access. I call EA tech support and they were unable to help me.

Aug 16, 2016  Some Battlefield 1942 gameplay with my girlfriend on a 64 player online server, it's great that enough people play this game still to fill multiple servers.

This happened since I rebuilt my computer to a dual xeon 3.06 with 2 gig ram. Other than that, nothing else has changed. I'm running XP Pro SP1 with all the patches. I'm also running a SATA HD.

Bonetown crack download Edit: I also bought a new BF1942 disk (Deluxe set) thinking there may have been a problem with my original BF1942 disk. Still getting that same error If anyone can help me or point me in the right direction, it would be greatly appreciated. Until I find out what's causing this problem, I can't play BF1942 and I'm getting twitchy Thanks [text was edited by author 2003-10-28 21:12:04] [text was edited by author 2003-10-28 21:17:44]. Device manager shows everything ok. I have an ATI 9800 XT. All drivers are current.

The only thing I can think of is I'm running a dual Xeon. I spoke with EA tech support but they didn't have a clue. Since I've upgraded to this mobo (Asus PC DL Deluxe) and my dual xeons, I've installed quite a bit of software with not so much as a hiccup.

I'm also running 3 CD-roms, a DVD player, DVD-RW and a CD-RW. I've tried installed using all 3 and still getting that error. The only other new hardware is my Seagate 160 gig SATA HD. I also added an additional 1 gig og memory but it matches the memory I already had.

SOF2 runs flawlessly after I had to reinstall that. I'm totally baffled by this. I wish it would give some sort of useable error message that would give a round about cause to this. I've even downgraded my vid drivers hoping that the overdrive was causing the problem.

Still a no go. I'm about at my wits end Thank you for your response. I tried rebuilding my old P4, but it's late and I'm too tired to fight that aligator I also doubt it's the CD that BF1942 came on since this is my 2nd one and I'm still getting that error. My guess is how I have XP Pro configured.

I'll play around with it a little more tonight and then get some sleep. Maybe the solution will come to me in a dream Thank you all for the advice. If someone else has a thought about this, please post. I'm at that point where I can't see the forest for the trees A fresh perspective is always appreciated.
